Over Pearls

The same dresses that covered the Morumbi Chapel ceiling, metaphorically fell down two years later when I covered the floor of the Thomas Cohn gallery. On the floor they had a tactile aspect – they looked shrivelled, they were not shiny. The people could walk barefoot on them, feel the beads, the pearls, feel what was like to step on a bridal dress.
