This video was recorded in 1998, as a register of my first performance during my master’s course in arts in Unicamp (University of Campinas).
Sitting on the classroom floor, dressed as a bride and holding a bouquet of white roses, I removed, one by one, the petals of the roses, which fell like white tears over the bridal dress.
This performance – that took place indoors, inside the University –took a bigger dimension, going from the individual to the collective, when I got together 150 women dressed as brides in Paulista Avenue on November 25th 2000, The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
I continue working with this theme until nowadays.
