Circunvolutions – São Paulo

This performance took place in São Paulo, in different squares and regions of the city. The women were locals from each region. There were 50 women in the action, who were in silence for the whole time.
They sat on a circle on the floor, and each one held a yarn of white wool. The thread in the yarn of each woman was united with the thread of the next yarn, forming a continuous line. At the same time each woman winded the yarn, they were constantly donating more thread to the person next to them. It is as if they formed, between them, a bloodstream, making them reflect on the act of repetition.
Together they exchanged experiences, forming a big circulation that started in each one and extended to the others.
On the ears they used a 3M earplug, which allowed internalization and silence.
